Courtney helps organizations build strategy, strengthen their boards, and make their voices heard on the policies that affect them.

Courtney brings more than 25 years in the nonprofit sector and more than a decade as a small business owner. As Executive Director of Albie Aware Breast Cancer Foundation, she led every part of the organization, including its staff, 60-person volunteer program, and vendor contracts. She redesigned the foundation’s financial assistance program around health coverage enrollment and patient navigation, so patients could connect to ongoing coverage rather than one-time help.

Courtney also built Albie Aware’s policy function. She testified at California State health committee hearings on expanding coverage for breast and cervical cancer screening and met with members of Congress on Medicare coverage for multi-cancer early detection tests. Today she trains nonprofit leaders to advocate with confidence.

Earlier in her career, Courtney held development and board relations roles at Rady Children’s Hospital Foundation and The Old Globe. She also founded and ran her own company for more than ten years.
